Have any of you guys seen this? I watched it last night and I howled with laughter.
I really like the original Jumanji film but this one, IMO, is far funnier.
Warning: spoilers.
In the original film, all the action takes place in the real world. In Return to the Jungle, most of it takes place in Jumanji, the jungle, as 4 teens, who are stuck in detention, get sucked into the game (à la Tron).
In the real world, the teens are:
Spencer, a nerd who's terrified of everything;
Fridge, a 6ft, broadly built jock;
Martha, an awkward loner;
Bethany, a cute girl who lives to take selfies.
In the game:
Spencer becomes Dr. Smolder Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson), who has 'smoldering intensity' as one of his strengths;
Fridge becomes Mouse (Kevin Hart), a short sidekick whose weakness is cake;
Martha becomes Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan), who's very like Lara Croft;
Bethany becomes Prof. Shelly Oberon (Jack Black)...a middle-aged man.
Bethany is devastated. She's trapped in a video game, she's a man, and she's lost her phone.

The 4 have to work together to finish the game and get back to the real world before they run out of lives.
A lot of the humour comes from how different the teens are to their video counterparts. You get Smolder running and screaming, and Shelly trying to teach Ruby how to be sexy.
If you're in the mood for silly but hilarious adventure, watch this.
