I read on a messageboard that buying digital download items from Ukrainian sellers on Etsy is a way to get them some money. There are craft designs and artwork. I can't afford to do that much, but at least that's was something I can do. So I did.

The poster warned to check the accounts are at least a year old to avoid scammers.

I left feedback for the items I bought. And today I got a message from ekoovintage, who thanked me for my support and asked me to publicise their shop.

Well, I never bought from them and all their feedback is from March 2022. So I went searching.

Twitter.

Yeah. Not only a scammer and a liar, but a thief too. :-(

Classic. Haven't seen that kind of thing in a while but when I was in the computer biz I'd see every time a headline was out some scammer would figure out how to leverage it for a virus.

Oh man, Sarah, I am so sorry this happened to you. What kind of sick piece of shit does this to people? And I thought the Pandemic was bad with scammers. It's getting to where you don't know who you CAN trust anymore.
