I think I mentioned this the other day, but I didn't have half the tale!
My agency (I'll call it FAB) has recently acquired a new client, (I'll call him Joe). His wife, Jane, already has carers - carers from my old agency Guardian. Jane has been so impressed with Joe's FAB carers that she's dumping Guardian's carers and swapping over to FAB as soon as she can.
I thought that was the end of the story.
No! As it turned out, Joe's FAB carers were there looking after Joe when Jane asked them for help as she was very uncomfortable. They were helping her (even though she's not their client) when Jane's carer from Guardian arrived. The Guardian carer proceeded to sit on the couch and do absolutely nothing for five minutes (while the FAB carers helped her client) and then the Guardian carer left without doing any work!
Leanne (a FAB carer) said they frequently turn up to find Jane hasn't had any breakfast made for her (not even a cuppa), even though her morning call lasts for an hour.
No wonder Jane's changing agencies!
