The trouble with Dwarves
May. 6th, 2013 05:20 pmWhen there are 13 of them milling about on screen, it's hard to keep track of which one is which. Especially when brothers have similar names. JRR Tolkien, you didn't make it easy, did you?
Of course, watching them on screen, you don't actually need to know which one is which. But, if you read fanfic (which I may possibly have done), it's nice to put a face to the name.
I finally went to the IMDb and swiped a stack of pictures, then stuck them together so I could keep track of who was who. If anyone's interested, it's under the cut.

It also made me realise how spoiled we were with Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship had a wizard, one Elf, one Dwarf, two Humans and four Hobbits. It was far easier to tell who was who.
