dimity_blueDay 20 - A song that you listen to when you’re angry.
This is another difficult one as I don't listen to music when I'm angry. Instead, I'll give you a song that puzzled me when I first heard it, then I realised what it was actually about.
Yep, Cliff Richard's "Goodbye Sam, Hello Samantha". My first thought was that it was about a transgender person. Then I remembered this was released long before transgenderism became mainstream, so I thought it had to be about a girl who'd been rather tomboyish and the singer got a shock when he saw his ol' pal dressed up for the first time.
The song continued playing and I realised Cliff was singing about dumping his friends because "I need the sweet, sweet touch of a woman's love". Cue eyestrain as I tried to roll my eyes while giving Cliff the side-eye. Btw, the rest of the lyrics aren't any better and Cliff was *30* while singing this piece of trash.
