30 Day Fanfic Meme - Day 3
Sep. 21st, 2015 01:09 pm3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
Under the cut again.
Hmmm...favourite characters...hmmm...
Garrison's Gorillas - Goniff. He's a Cockney cat burglar and pick pocket. He's irrepressibly impertinent to authority, and he's usually very cheery and a bit comical. He isn't above winding his companions up just for the fun of it either.
Harry Potter - This was a crossover and only featured Molly Weasley from the HP universe. I really enjoyed writing her though, as she's friendly, cheerful, and surprisingly happy to see and hug Mycroft Holmes (much to his dismay).
Hunger Games - Haymitch. Oh, Haymitch. Behind the drinking, staggering, and vomiting lies a man who's trapped in an unrelenting form of Hell, and the Capitol gets to twist the knife in his wound every single freaking year.
Lord of the Rings My favourite character to write in this was Vool, an OC Orc who gets stuck playing I Spy with Sauron (who cheats). I've only written two LotR stories, and the other is about Haldir and his death (movie death). I hate that he died in the movies, and thinking about him makes me sad.
Magnificent 7 - Ezra. I really do like Ezra, though I haven't written any stories that focus on him. Well, I've only written one Mag7 story. Ezra is a lot of fun though. I think part of the appeal is the way he talks. :oD
NCIS - Tony from the early seasons. The missing scene story that featured him was mainly about how he missed Kate. I really don't like that she was killed off.
Person of Interest - Finch and Reese. I love their relationship and how protective Reese is over Finch. Though, really, putting a tracker in someone's glasses is pretty much stalker level. *tut tuts at Reese* Also, Fusco. I wasn't that keen on him at first, but his slow change from corrupt cop to one of the good guys is fascinating to watch.
The Princess Bride - I didn't actually write The Princess Bride. The crossover story was more about the SGA characters witnessing various actions of the Princess Bride characters and trying to make sense of this insane world with sand-traps and giant rats.
Rat Patrol - None, actually. The story and poems I wrote about RP were just bits of fun that I didn't really put any work into. (Sorry to any RP-ers out there.)
Pirates of the Caribbean - Jack and Norrington. I love Jack's character, and hate that they killed off Norrington. (Note to TPTB: Stop killing off characters I like!)
Sherlock - All of them. Seriously, I love all the main characters. Sherlock, John, Greg, Mycroft, Mrs. Hudson. They're all such fun.
Star Trek - Uh...this was a parody and possibly nothing at all to do with Star Trek. Plausible deniability?
Stargate SG1 - Jack for his humour and sarcasm, and Daniel for his heart-breaking story. I'm talking seasons 1-4 here. I never got into Action!Daniel.
Stargate: Atlantis - John and Rodney and their friendship. I love Rodney's sarcasm and annoyance as he says all the things we think but wouldn't say. I also love John's laid back demeanour until the people he loves and/or Atlantis are threatened and then he turns into this well-trained soldier who'll do whatever necessary to protect them and her. Take that, Kolya!
The Hobbit - Bilbo. He's such a homebody caught up in this adventure and finding he actually has a talent for thinking on his feet. Also Fili and Kili for their buoyant attitude, and Dwalin for his scary attitude.
The Sentinel - Blair. I love how inventive he is at dealing with these weird and/or scary situations he's caught up in.
Whew! That turned out to be rather long!
