10 – Pairings – Have you ever gone outside your comfort zone and written a pairing you liked, but found you couldn't write, or a pairing you didn't like, and found you could?

Nope. Have I ever gone outside my comfort zone and written a genre I didn't think I could write? Yep, angst. The Chains That Bind is Sentinel missing scene for the ep Cypher. I signed up for a Christmas gift fic exchange and offered humour. I was asked to do angst. That was the result. :oD

I don't think I've written a genre outside of my comfort zone offhand, and I'm not into pairings as such (unless friendship ones).

Great fic, btw, you should write more angst! :)

I'm not into pairings much either. A definite exception to that is Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane, but mostly I prefer friendshippy fics.

There was a Sherlock fic, Not Today. That was definitely angsty.

I don't write angst for the sake of it. Not Today insisted on being written. :oD

Angst is my all time favourite genre and I adore writing it.

I re-read Not Today because it didn't ring any bells, heartbreaking stuff. I loved it!
