21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?

Yep. My Sentinel story Lord of the Drunks had its own sequel, A Bad Hobbit is Hard to Break. My Sherlock/Harry Potter story Relativity has a sequel WIP, as does my Tall, Dark, and Belstaff story about the married ones next door to Sherlock and John. If I have more to add to a story, then I'll write a sequel. If not, the story's a standalone.

Yep, same here! Some of my fics are very much stand alone, others have led to sequels!

I've never written a sequel and had no real desire to either.

I was once tempted to write a prequel (which I started and is currently gathering dust LOL) to one of my MacGyver stories because I had a lot of people asking why the OC was so mean. I learnt a valuable lesson with that fic on how important backstory for an unknown character is. *face palm*
