Currently (literally) sitting in a pile of old photographs (armed with a magnifying glass, and a growing irritation with people who don't label their photos). So "tidy" might be a lie.

What is it with people not labelling photos?! It drives me nuts too.

I'm guilty of it myself sometimes, because I know who everybody is, obviously! It does seem like something that anybody with a big photo collection ought to do though, especially when you start acquiring multiple generations of photos. What I have here is a pretty large archive that once belonged to my paternal grandmother's mother. The fact that I'm so familiar with the family tree currently allows me to identify some by process of elimination, but some will probably always be a mystery. Clothes can help date things, but that's not foolproof. People, annotate your photos!
