Daisy brought me a gift on Friday night!
Aug. 2nd, 2020 01:34 pmDaisy came in and was 'wooing' at me (making a noise like Woo, woo") which she usually does when she's got something for me. To my relief, there was no sign of a bird, so I figured she wanted some attention and gave her a stroke.
It wasn't until the next morning I saw the brown leaf she'd dropped by the armchair. She'd been standing in the way, so I didn't notice it the night before. It's rather large and is all dried out and crinkled up, like the last leaves of autumn. She must have found it in a corner of the garden.
I was playing with it on my desk last night and was getting Daisy to hunt it. When the carers came in, Daisy saw me get them to put the leaf safely in a shallow basket by my mouse. I'm hoping she'll decide these presents are far better than silly old birds.
No, I know it's not that likely, but still.
