I wish I had one when that "Karen" called the police about my dog in my car, accusing me of mistreating him. It was 72F and he was fine. He's so cute, I think she was hoping they would take him from me. I also think it was a set up. She basically was thumping her chest and yelling at me to hit her, so I think someone was filming it. A true whack-a-doodle.
Was your A/C on or your windows open? I could see being concerned about a dog in a car on a warm or hot day. The chest thumping and "Hit me!" sound completely bizarre though.
The windows were open, but the car wasn't running. It was still cool enough for him to not be bothered or distressed. I think she was looking for her 15 min of celebrity, but wasn't going to get it from me.
She's lucky I didn't take her up on it. I trained in martial arts (which is why I'm going to have a knee replacement next month) for 21 yrs and could have done major damage to her. She's also lucky I have trained restraint. People are sooo crazy here.
I think you're right that she'll pick the wrong person. Absolutely.
Have you heard about the "Karen's" over here in the states? She looked exactly like the description. Short hair, sporty sunglasses on, and refuses to look directly at you. She reminded me of Barbeque Becky, exactly.
