Panic

Have you ever done this? Accidentally dragged and dropped a link in your favourites list somehow, even though you didn't want to? Normally, it's no problem, right? You just grab the link and drag it back up to where it belongs.

Well, I did that very late last night. Only the link was my folder of Sentinel fic links, and it disappeared.

All my "check 'em every day and hope something's gone up" links, all the authors' websites links, all my recommended stories that I still haven't got around to reading links...GONE.

Yeah, I panicked - what would you do?!

Fortunately for me (and Mr. Bill Gates because it was bound to be his fault somehow), I finally managed to track the folder down to where it had fallen into another folder. It took me about 15 minutes of frantic searching but I got it back in the end. What a relief!

Arnie -

I back up my favorites/bookmarks/whatevertheyarecalled every few days - twice! There is no way I would ever be able to recreate all of my bookmarks, and I fear I would do something drastic if I lost them all. So, every few days I back them up. I only wish I was that diligent backing up all my other data...

Hey Denise,

I know...I should back 'em up regularly. Oddly enough, I do occasionally back up my documents, so I'm not that bad!

I'm just glad I found my TS links again. Hmm...so glad, I think I'll back 'em up after I've finished LJ-ing. :oD
