I've noticed on some friends' journals that they have other people's userpics "activated". You don't need to go to their user info page to check out their userpics, you can just click on the pic above their name and off you go.

Anyone know what I have to click to get this on my journal? Umpteen times I've wanted to zip over into my userpics, and had to head for my user info page to get there. I tried looking through the FAQ and couldn't find anything that seemed to fit.

I have absolutely no idea - I mean, I know that's not helpful, but I always thought it was just a matter of clicking on the pic, but it doesn't work on yours. I thought maybe it was something to do with having a paid account, but nope - you've got one. A mystery if I ever heard one!

Apparently my mind likes a mystery and seeks to find answers ... maybe it has to do with the particular page layout? Some templates might be set up for that and others aren't? It's a possibility you might want to experiment with.

You were right! I've changed the layout and the userpics are 'activated'. Now all I have to do is get used to this layout and the way it's all set up.

I could go wandering into the 'advanced customizations' but all those options freak me out. :oD

I was gonna comment, but I see you already have the answer! It is layout specfic, each one has it's own features.

The really advance stuff like theme layers is scary and took me ages to get to grips with even though I consider myself quite knowledge with HTML, but lj uses it's own code! However, the wizard is ok and you can get quite a lot of personalisation that way.

If you need any help with layouts let me know, I'll see what I can do!

Thanks, Caz! I should have known that you'd have the answer. Well, at least I figured it out in the end.

And I'll definitely be screeching for you if I start messing with the advanced options. That stuff freaks me out! :oD
