Top ten most bizarre genuine travelling customer complaints

According to Thomas Cook in the UK, some holidaymakers are just never satisfied. Here are the top ten most bizarre and genuine customer complaints received by the firm in recent years:

1. On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food at all.

2. The beach was too sandy.

3. I bought a snorkel and swimming mask for my six-year-old son, but he was too upset to use them as the fish frightened him.

4. It rained on my birthday.

5. Topless sunbathing on the beach should be banned. The holiday was ruined as my husband spent all day looking at other women.

6. I think it should be explained in the brochure that the local store does not sell proper biscuits like custard creams or ginger nuts.

7. it's lazy of the local shopkeepers to close in the afternoons. I often needed to buy things during 'siesta' time - this should be banned.

8. We bought 'Ray-Ban' sunglasses for five euros from a street trader, only to find out they were fake.

9. None of the hotel staff was English, and the tea didn't taste the same as at home.

10. I would like to complain about the price of alcohol in the resort.. It was too cheap and I woke with a hangover every day.

~~~
I'm honestly wondering what they expected the travel agents to do about it. Sweep the beach? Cancel siestas? I should think they'd be more tempted to drink all that alcohol themselves.
Yep, that just about sums it up for me. :oD
I know! What exactly were the travel agents supposed to do about that?
And you're welcome. I'm glad they made you smile.
It just make you wonder what they expect when they go abroad, doesn't it?
I'm glad they made you smile. Hope TODS likes them too!
I don't find those complaints funny. They just make me cross about how stupid and entitled British people apparently are.
The picture is very LOL-worthy though!
I think some people expect the world to be exactly the same as home. I wonder why they bother travelling.
They have curry in all the restaurants in India?! *gasp* For shame!! LOL some people are to stupid for their own good. Sounds like all those people just want a holiday in britain! Reminds me of a line from a show my mum told me about... Something about it not being possible for there to be good Sherry in Spain... Roots, or something...
Thanks for these!
Definitely! Not adventurous at all. They just want a piece of home everywhere they go. Blah! That's no fun! When I travel, I like to try what the local people try. And if I didn't like curries and spicy food, which I absolutely do!!! I wouldn't go to India... which I almost did! LOL
And too much sand?! Do they want a pebbly beach where they can cut their feet?
I like your icon. I like lots of the icons on here. They make me giggle! :)
