You're welcome. I'd heard the announcements from Steven Moffet and Mark Gatiss anyway, but it's good to hear from the BBC (since they're the ones funding it).
Great news!! And it sounds like Martin really enjoys this, so maybe they'll find time to do a fourth, in between their busy movie careers?!! *tries not to be too hopeful though*
If it were left to me, I'd have them making umpteen series, but I know there's a limit. I just hope they won't be too busy to get back to series 3 ASAP!
Nice to have it confirmed, though I'm sure I read something somewhere that they were getting Moriarty "out of the way" so they would be free to do what they wanted with the characters. With all the will they/won't they, I was beginning to think I'd dreamt it!
I know the first ep should be concerned with getting rid of the rest of Moriarty's network (or his 2nd in command, anyway), but I'm looking forward to seeing what stories they cover too. It'll be interesting, for sure!
I'm hoping it won't be *that* long! They commissioned series 3 at the same time as they commissioned series 2, so *maybe* ::looks hopeful:: it's already scheduled to start filming and we just don't know when.
