Easy-peasy. Or not.

Step 1: Take out of fridge and remove cardboard sleeve.

Step 2: Put into microwave and turn timer to 5.5 minutes.

Step 3: Realise you've forgotten to remove the film lid, dive at microwave, remove tub from microwave, remove film lid from tub, replace tub in microwave.

Step 4: Once the pinger goes, remove tub from microwave and gaze in confusion at your practically stone-cold jacket potatoes.

Step 5: Realise you forgot to turn the heat to high. Change heat.

Step 6: Put tub back into microwave, and knock the glass plate off its stand.

Step 7: Remove tub. Put glass plate back onto stand, carefully replace tub.

Step 8: Slam door and wonder if you really want jacket potatoes. Turn timer back on because you refuse to be defeated.

Step 9: Pinger goes, remove easy-peasy jacket potatoes from microwave and mentally dare them to be anything less than perfect.

After all that, they were okay. I probably would have enjoyed them more if I hadn't had such a fight to prepare them!

Flippin eck, I'd have felt the same! Still it's good to learn that ready-made jacket spuds exist.

Things were clearly consipiring against you! Glad you didn't give in - and that they were okay in the end. *hugs*

LMBO I was howling with laughter as I read this, because this has happened to me before. It doesn't taste as good as it should after all that. Thanks for the laugh and smile today.

Tesco's have two versions - one Light Choices and one ordinary (probably with more cheese). They're rather nice, especially if you add something with sauce to them.

The side dish of frustration doesn't improve things. :oD

You're welcome, Patt. Glad it made you laugh!

They sound excellent so I asked my Watson to look for the Sainsbo's equivalent. Nothing against Tesco's, just location of handy supermarkets. W's response is that she already has some ready-spuds in the freezer!

*giggle*...so annoying when something simple expands into oh so much more, I'm glad that at the end of it, it was at least okay coz that's better than sucks, right? Hopefully the next time you try you'll have more luck.
