24 – Betaing – How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?

Um...hmm... This is embarrassing. I don't have any beta readers. I used to, but real life took over and they got busy. Now I proofread as much as I can, spellcheck, and hope I won't spot anything too awful after I've posted.

Fortunately you're good enough not to need betas!! :D

I still have Jayne Perry to do my main betaing (and brainstorming and occasional co-writing) - and try to find an American to beta as well, to pick out those Britishisms I don't otherwise notice. I don't want American characters to sound un-American, after all!

Yeah, Americans sounding too British is a problem. Though, I had the opposite problem when I started writing Sherlock - I think I'd written American series for too long as I had to stop myself from using Americanisms!

Thanks for the compliment. I do worry I'm going to miss stuff - or that I am missing things but don't know it as I don't know any better. :o\ If you do spot mistakes, please feel free to point them out. :o)

You don't need one, hon! Now I on the other hand, do LOL...and it took me years to realise the value of them. *face palm*
