Stolen with ninja-level guile from [livejournal.com profile] swordznsorcery.

Your main fandom of the year:
Sherlock, I guess. I'm not really in fandom apart from writing fanfic or posting about the odd show. I guess I dabble in fandom.

Your favourite film you watched this year:
Inside Out. I really enjoyed it.

Your favourite book read this year:
Snowdrift and Other Stories by Georgette Heyer. This is not actually a new book. It's GH's Pistols for Two republished with 3 recently re-discovered new stories: Pursuit, Runaway Match, and Incident on the Bath Road.

3 new (to me) GH short stories? Oh, happy day! And well worth the price.

And I've just remembered I meant to post about this on my LJ. Um...

Your favourite album or song to listen to this year:
Phillip Phillips, "Gone, Gone, Gone."

Your favourite TV show of the year:
Person of Interest.

Your best new fandom discovery of the year:
Not a fandom but a TV series: Person of Interest.

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year:
I don't think I have one.

Your fandom boyfriend(s) of the year:
Harold Finch from Person of Interest.

Your fandom girlfriend(s) of the year:
Carter from Person of Interest.

Your biggest squee moment of the year?
The Abominable Bride! (Was that 2016?) I loved it. Absolutely adored it.

The most missed of your old fandoms:
Garrison's Gorillas. Even though it was an old series, the fandom was a lot of fun.

The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to:
Um...none.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year:
The new series of Sherlock.

I had 'Inside Out' as a Christmas present, just need to find time to watch it now... along with 'Secret Life of Pets', which looks good too! :)

I really enjoyed "Inside Out". I hope you like it.

I'm looking forward to "Secret Life of Pets" too.

Nothing new you want to try? Are you tempted at all by "Doctor Strange", or do you prefer Benepatch Cumberdict as Holmes?

I haven't seen any of your favourite things. I seem to be finding that with everybody's answers! We are a bunch of hopelessly unfashionable people on LJ. :D (Although I fear you may be straying dangerously close to popularity by being a "Sherlock" fan).

Well, no new fandom I want to try. I do want to see "Doctor Strange".

"Person of Interest" is really, really good. I heartily recommend it.

(Although I fear you may be straying dangerously close to popularity by being a "Sherlock" fan).

Hmm, I'll be careful! Can I redeem myself by telling you one of my favourite TV series is from 1967? ("Garrison's Gorillas".)

It is little known nowadays, it is from the '60s, and it has the word "gorilla" in the title. Couldn't be better!

I did try "Person Of Interest" once, but we didn't get along. Mind you, it was just the once, which isn't exactly a reasonable experiment. And I do like Michael Emerson.

I think Michael Emerson is awesome in this. I find it fascinating to see the difference in his walk and movements between past-Finch and now-Finch. He never seems to slip up.

Uh, if you don't know, in some flashbacks, Finch is perfectly able-bodied. Before the series started, it's shown that Finch suffered a spinal injury that left him with a limp and some fused vertebrae at the top of his spine. He doesn't turn his neck, he turns the top half of his body.

I was a little disappointed in 'Inside Out'. I think I expected more from it. It was an enjoyable film though. Not like the last Ice Age one. *shudders at the memory*

I haven't seen any of the Ice Age films. I'll make a note to avoid it.
