It's funny how many people like that use a variation on "I'm not a hero, I'm just a..." Which in many ways is precisely what makes them heroes. Ordinary people, who turned out not to be. Let us all be like that, should the need arise.

And one of them was a prolific Mills & Boon author! Not sure I'd celebrate that, but I shan't knock the achievement. ;)
