Made a few with a friend in middle school, and while they started out innocently, she began to take things too far. I wanted to have fun and be funny, and so did she, but then she decided it was funny to be mean. I wasn't on board with that. (We had one of those bad girl/good girl friendships.)
. Never. I was victim of several in college -- never found out which girls in my dorm (pretty sure) -- and ended up cussing out my dad when he called at an unusual hour and I thought it was them. I find prank calls infuriating and juvenile, and would never foist them on someone else.
Not to mention -- nowadays, so many phones display the calling number. If you wanted to report the assholes, you could; there might be some consequences from the legal authorities. Wonder if prank calling is decreasing as people realize that? .
