Yes, that one was very annoying! I don't think I ever even ate one, but why?

Because it's always been the same* product in the US and here it's always been known as Snickers probably referencing the Snickerdoodle biscuit.

*Chocolate here has never been as good on "basic" bars. You have to pay for the premium stuff.

It was more of a rhetorical question. We all know it was changed to match the US name, but since Snickers is meaningless over here, it always seemed a bit pointless and irritating. I don't think I ever even ate one!
