1) What is your favorite noise to hear?

Music, or laughter.

2) If you could live in any era of time, what would you choose and why?

Now, or maybe the near future, as I wouldn't like to live without mod-cons (especially my PC), although I would change my personal circumstances.

3) You just found $50 while cleaning your house. Where do you decide to spend it?

Well, I'd probably spend it ON books, CDs or DVDs, and where would depend on which shop had what I wanted.

4) What magazines to you subscribe to/read on a normal basis?

Cross Stitcher, Cross Stitch Collection Gold, Friends of the Chalet School subscription magazine.

5) If you could witness any event in history, but not change anything about it, what would you choose and why?

The Moon Landing. It really must have felt as though we were 'stepping into' a brand new era.

They look rather misty and dreamy, but I like them.

I got a leaflet from Past Impressions today (a cross stitch supplier), and, on the back, there were some Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Wererabbit ceramic breakfast accessories.

All of which were overpriced (to me, anyway).

A Gromit toast rack was a mere snip at £22 (US$38.26 / CAN$45.53), while the Wallace and Gromit van storage jar was listed at £50 (US$86.95 / CAN$103.49).

FIFTY QUID for a storage jar. A ceramic storage jar.

You'd have to be some fan to pay that.

Yep, I know, I've commented on this one before. However, I just had to vent share this one with you.

At the end of an email all about how some things are worth saving, there was this:

I received this from someone who thinks I am a 'keeper', so I've sent it to the people I think of in the same way.. Now it's your turn to send this to those people that are "keepers" in your life Good friends are like stars.... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Keep them close!

Nothing wrong with that, right? Well, if you ignore the hint of "you'd better send this back to me because I sent it to you". However, the last item on this list really got my goat.

TEN THINGS GOD WON'T ASK ON THAT DAY.

1... God won't ask what kind of car you drove. He'll ask how many people you drove who didn't have transportation.

2... God won't ask the square footage of your house, He'll ask how many people you welcomed into your home.

3... God won't ask about the clothes you had in your closet, He'll ask how many you helped to clothe.

4... God won't ask what your highest salary was. He'll ask if you compromised your character to obtain it.

5... God won't ask what your job title was. He'll ask if you performed your job to the best of our ability.

6... God won't ask how many friends you had. He'll ask how many people to whom you were a friend.

7... God won't ask in what neighborhood you lived, He'll ask how you treated your neighbors.

8... God won't ask about the color of your skin, He'll ask about the content of your character.

9... God won't ask why it took you so long to seek Salvation.
He'll lovingly take you to your mansion in heaven, and not to the gates of Hell.

10... God won't have to ask how many people you forwarded this to, He already knows your decision.

Yes, I'm sure that when I get to the Pearly Gates, God is going to be concerned with the spam I sent on.
