dimity_blue: (Jim & Blair - friends)

All three of these are from the same author - one of my favourite authors - Gil Hale. I love her sense of humour, but she's also a good writer who can handle drama. These three though are all humour.

Payback's A Banana
In this epilogue to The Debt, Larry returns to get his revenge on Blair, and brings his (Larry's) mother along too! Fortunately, it's Jim to the rescue, which he does in grand style. Perhaps my favourite bit is when Larry's mother is grooming Larry, so Jim does the same to Blair - much to Blair's consternation!

Tibbles to the Rescue
Told entirely from the POV of Tibbles, a neighbour's cat, who helps save Blair when a Babe of the Week uses her wiles on him. Tibbles originally thought of his neighbours as "Dammit" (Jim) and "Oops sorry" (Blair), as those were their respective apologies when they fell over him in the hall. Fortunately for Blair, Tibbles sticks around to help save the turkey day. If that doesn't tempt you, Tibbles also has his own opinion of Simon and is looking forward to the day when Jim challenges Simon and drives him out. Tibbles is also hoping Jim will knock Simon down and tread on him - see how he likes it.

I Liked That Toothbrush
Blair's busy - what with his work at uni and his work with Jim and the never-ending marking. But when the guide's busy, a sentinel gets bored. So what does Jim turn to in his hour of need? Housework! Unfortunately for them all, Jim's need for order extends to his desk in the bullpen, and things turn a little tense when Rafe borrows a pen from Jim's desk. Will Rafe survive Jim's wrath? Will Blair ever get his toothbrush back? You'll never know (well, unless you go read the story).

Cool! A lot of gen fans don't do the LJ thing - I hope you send this to the Cascade Library so newcomers to the fandom get some direction. Ten years of fan fic is a lot to wade through. StarWatcher's announcement has the link to CL on it.

::trots over to read Gil::

I've just emailed it over to them!

And yeah, 10 years of fanfic is a *lot*!
