Thank you! ::hugs Snail tightly:: Are you okay now? I know you said you don't like New Year.

I hope 2011 is a wonderful year for you, full of fun and well-oiled cabana boys, but entirely lacking in handymen up ladders. :oD

LOL - fine now thank you - I've stopped sulking and throwing boots at small children *g*

I'm all for plenty of cabana boys - I'm sure they'd do my paintwork too, nice lads *g*

I'm glad you're feeling better. The world didn't feel right with a sad Snail in it. ::hugs::

As for the paintwork, I think it depends what you bribe them with. ::waggles eyebrows:: With the right incentive, I'm sure they'd do anything. :oD

Has your Kindle pitched up yet? Mum has spent all day with the one I got her for Crimble - I cannot believe how well she's getting on with it and how much she loves it ::beams::

No... :o( But the cover arrived on the last day that post was being delivered, so I'm hoping my Kindle will turn up on Tuesday. I want...so badly. In other news, I've already bought a stack of books for it. It's a good thing I have the Kindle for PC programme! :oD

I'm glad your mum loves her Kindle and is having so much fun with it. I'm hoping my mum will like hers once I talk her into accepting one.

Are you going to cave and get one for yourself??

Oh poop - I hope yours turns up sooooon. I'm so glad I got it for Mum - she's 85 and holding a book is getting hard work for her - the Kindle she can rest on her lap and turn the pages with one finger - brilliant! I didn't get her a cover yet, I thought I'd wait and see how she used it first, so we'll see.

I doubt I'll get one for myself - I'm happy playing with hers and I read too much anyway! Plus I may NEED to get an iPhone soon - my mate's baby is a year old now and I NEED to be able to see what she's doing. My mate and I are dithering on the cusp of spending big bucks getting one each just for this purpose. *hg*

Awww, that sounds like a great reason to get an iPhone. But you may be doomed anyway - there's a Kindle app for the iPhone! Two birds, one stone, and all that. :oD ::suspects there'll soon be multiple posts extolling the virtues of an iPhone on Snails's LJ::

I can understand your Mum's problem with books though. Some of the books out there are heavy or unwieldy - do they think about real people when they make those books?? I'm still okay with paperbacks, but the hardbacks are a struggle.
