Just got home from work and saw this; how sad. I had a huge crush on Davy Jones when I was a kid, he was my fave of the four. I must've played my Monkees' Greatest Hits vinyl album a million times up through my teens, ha. For some reason "Pleasant Valley Sunday" has been in my head ever since I heard the news, that and "Daydream Believer." Neil Diamond, my #1 favorite from the time I was six till I was in my 20's, wrote that song and I think several more for them.
