Obviously, this firm is doing me a *favour*.

Ages ago, a friend of mine gave me vouchers for Wiltshire Farm Foods. They provide frozen meals of various types that can just be put into the microwave to defrost and heat up. The meals look nice, and the website states the delivery driver will put them straight into your freezer if you want.

As I can now get into the kitchen more easily (thanks to the wheelchair), I decided to give it a go and see how good the meals are. So I sorted out an order last night. One thing that put me off was that there was nothing to say *when* they'd deliver. I'm used to Tesco's and being able to choose a day and time to suit.

At the end, they took my phone number and said they'd be in touch to arrange delivery.

Today, I get an email stating they'll deliver on Monday.

Is that convenient for me? Do they care?

And...there was no time mentioned *at all*. So I've just phoned them, all the while wondering why the hell *I'm* chasing *them* to get information of a delivery I'm paying for. Oh yeah, it'll be here between 8 and 9 in the morning.

Am I impressed? NO. Can you tell?

So, basically, unless you have the option to rearrange your schedule to make sure *you* can accomodate *them*, don't bother ordering from Wiltshire Foods.

Wow, that sounds annoying. It's one thing when the cable company makes you re-arrange your schedule for them to come "between" certain hours and you sit there waiting, but a food company? And if they are delivering foods for someone disabled, you'd think they would make it a bit easier for you. Especially if you're paying them.

I've been using a grocery delivery service since I don't have a car now and they've got a schedule on their website for you to choose the time you want them to deliver. The least this company could do is have something like that. It's difficult to plan what you're supposed to do between the time you order and find out your delivery I'm sure. If they're doing this kind of service, they should have enough drivers so a customer doesn't have to wait half a week to get their products.

Hope things get better for you!

The schedule on their website is what I'm used to when ordering groceries. I suspect Wiltshire Farm Foods aren't a big enough company to provide that service...but with that customer service, I doubt they'll become a big enough company. I suspect you can insist on rearranging the day/time of the delivery, but (IMO) you should be given options, not told when and it's up to you to rearrange.

I'm so not impressed with them so far.

Not impressed, they're delivering to people who have mobility problems (whether age or otherwise) and so should be offer delivery times and dates. And what happens if you don't have internet? Do they ring you to let you know, or just turn up? *shakes head* Not worth the hassle!

I should think they phone you to tell you when. You can get a brochure and order over the phone, so they must have customers who don't have computers.

And no, not worth the hassle to me. Once these vouchers are gone, I'll stick to Tesco's and *maybe* get the odd order if the food is absolutely fantastic.

::Me making my not impressed face:: I would use up the gift vouchers and never use the company again. That's terrible customer service

That's how I feel right now. I'm thinking their food will have to be out of this world to persuade me they're worth the hassle!

Well, that's a bit rubbish. I suppose all you can hope is that the meals are really good after all that...

They've got to be, surely? I can't imagine they'd get any repeat customers unless their food is incredible.

And, at this point, it'd have to be incredible to get me to give them another chance.

In this day and age its ludicrious to *not* give the customer the options on a time slot! I don't think I've ever heard of such a thing before. Ridiculous! I hope you gave them a piece of your mind. I know I wouldn't have been able to stop myself LOL.

It really is daft, isn't it? I've recently discovered that they're not a new company - they've been going for 21 years. I guess it really is that their customers are pretty much without other choices.
