Weird. I can't find the latest Friday Five post. Anyway:

1. Did/Do you own a typewriter?
I did. I had a plastic one when I was a kid, then a Brother portable from in my teens. It was pretty good - it could type in *two* colours. Then I had an electronic one, then a Word Processor.

2. If you own one, what was the last thing you typed on it?
I don't have anything but a pc now. The last thing I remember typing on my Word Processor was a Star Trek spoof.

3. Have you ever used *gasp* carbon paper for multiple copies?
Not outside of typing class.

4. Ever use any of these?

No, but I have used Tippex. My electronic typewriter had a corrector ribbon.

5. Did you take typing (not to be confused with keyboarding) in school?
Yep. Those typewriters weighed a ton!

I, too, remember the electronic typewriter with the miracle of a correction ribbon!! Saved me much typex that did, lol! :D

I did use carbon paper for a job I was in once, but I hated it! Messy hands, ugh! Don't remember using any of those tools!!

It was computing I took at school (I was in either the first or second year to take it, so still a new subject back then) and when I tried to learn to touch type, I couldn't. It slowed me down too much for the job I had, so gave up!! I can type without looking at the keyboard for some words, phrases, but not all. It's never stopped me typing!!

The correction ribbons saved so much fuss! I was lucky I never had to deal with carbon paper, apart from the 'how to' lesson.

My second job, I had to type up legal documents on a MASSIVE old manual typewriter; they came in several colours so we had to have liquid paper (which we alled called wite out) in several colours.

Sis and I had a little electric typewriter for some years, then a Kaypro word processor which I loved dearly (called Kay of course) and which was supposed to be portable even though it was all sharp corners and weighed a ton...

There was none that I could find. I'm one of the posters there and I wish they'd let me pick up the slack. I'm not due to post until the 21st, though.

Not to worry about it at all. That's why I put it up. :D

Hell, there's one guy who takes my stuff all the time, usually word for word... and passes it off as his own... sigh...
