the character who scares me the most - Mary Whittaker (Unnatural Death).
the character who is mostly like me - I want to be Harriet.

one thing I dislike about my fave character - Harriet, that it takes her so long to marry Peter.
one thing I like about my hated character - Henry Weldon (Have His Carcase) and his inability to recognise he's been insulted.
a quote or scene that haunts me - The end of Murder Must Advertise when Peter gives the murderer a way out.
a death that left me indifferent - The murderer's in Who's Body?
a character I wish had died but didn’t - None, but I wish Peter's nephew, St. George, hadn't died. I think that's only in the Jill Paton Walsh books though, so I'll ignore it.
my ship that never sailed - St. George and Hilary Thorpe from The Nine Tailors. I read a short, cute fanfic about them ages ago.

Helen! I always think of that bit where she thinks about how the back of her dress displays just the right number of vertebrae. LOL! I love it when she interacts with the Dowager Duchess, or even better, when we get what the Dowager Duchess thinks of her.

Now I gotta reread Have His Carcase! I don't remember it well enough.

I totally agree about that scene near the end of Murder Must Advertise. *shivers*

I watched the early LPW eps with my mom when they were on Masterpiece Theatre. Many years later, after I had watched Blakes 7, she was visiting us in Texas and we were watching Doctor Who when a familiar-looking guest character appeared. "Oh my goodness," said I, "it's Avon!" Ian Carmichael was surprisingly good as LPW. He completely won me over.

Helen is a complete pain but I do feel sorry for her in the end.

the character I least understand - Donovan. She was too hostile and unprofessional. It made her look bad.
interactions I enjoyed the most - Mrs. Hudson freaking out John with tales of her married life.

the character I least understand - Elizabeth (she broke up with her partner via DVD?!).
interactions I enjoyed the most - John and Rodney or Rodney and Radek.

the character who is mostly like me - Um...I can claim Rodney's rude side but I know better than to say it outloud. I also recognise his vulnerable side.
hottest looks character - John Sheppard.
one thing I dislike about my fave character - Rodney's arrogance.
one thing I like about my hated character - Elizabeth's dedication to duty.
a quote or scene that haunts me - Sumner being tortured by the Wraith and John having to shoot him.

I never understood why Elzabeth told him in her message to not wait for her, and then on Earth doesn't consider that he might not have!! Okay, the guy should have told her straight away, not waited seemingly a few weeks like he did, but all those 'hate her boyfriend' fans seem to have forgotten her message in the earlier episode!! That said, I love how Elzabeth handles Rodney!! That can be quite amusing at times!

John and Rodney are great together, as are Rodney and Radek! The latter two are sure to delight whenever talking sciencey things - especially so when they're excited!!

We'll have to agree to disagree of Dr Keller. I really like Jennifer. Sure, I loved Carson, but I also loved a lot of things about her too - like how she developed during the seasons. I also think if any woman can handle Rodney, it would be her! (Could have done without the whole Jennifer-Rodney-Ronon thing, but I could say that about many shows that do this. Not the character's fault, that.)

Radek and Elizabeth?! Now that would have been interesting, lol! :D

I'm going to ask about "You Rang M'Lord", mostly because you're the only person I know of who ever talks about it anymore! Used to love that show. I rewatched series one quite recently, and it's aged very well. I wish the audience wouldn't find the idea of a woman in a suit so damned funny, but that's people for you...

I didn't think it was a woman in a suit they found funny but the reactions to it. Like the bishop. He'd just complimented Poppy on her dress, then turns to Cissy and gets all flustered ("What a pretty uh, uh, pair of trousers." while she smiles.

Good old Aunt Agatha! She was awful, but she seemed very happy about it!

Yes, Poppy was ghastly, wasn't she. I think she was meant to illustrate how the master/servant relationship could so easily go bad - like Teddy and his attitude to serving girls. It was a nice touch, in that the show wasn't a straightforward comedy, but had several strands of drama in it, and I think it was the better for that. She was still horrible though! I hated how she treated James.

She totally flirted with James then acted outraged if he reacted. I don't know if you remember but she married Jerry for his money in the end and was obviously unhappy.

Do you remember the servants' ball ep? Lady Agatha (Lord Meldrum's married lover) and her husband threw a ball for the servants. Poppy agreed to give Ivy a pretty dress, did so, then spilled wine over it so Ivy couldn't go.

Cissy pinched a different dress from Poppy's wardrobe for Ivy to wear, then James spilled wine over Poppy before dancing with Ivy.

I found it hard to like James at times, but he redeemed himself occasionally.

It's only the first series that I've seen recently. I think my father has the show on DVD, so I shall have to filch it sometime!

James was my favourite character, certainly as a kid. There was an air of pathos there, with how trapped by the class system he was. So many of them were in those days. Mad.

Coin was probably my most hated person too. Although I actually really didn't like Gale either. XD;; I'm a Peeta kind of gal so romantic rivals can shove off! XP
