Feb. 1st, 2019 05:51 pm1 Is there a catchphrase from an old TV show or adverts that hardly anyone else remembers but that you still use?
Oh, lots!
A particular favourite is from a Billy Connolly routine and is applied to anything involving money. The original was (with a Cockney accent):
"You can buy fousands and fousands of Smarties for £40 a week."
Elaine (my aunt) and I say it to each other, replacing the £40 with whatever sum we're talking about.
