Urgh, yes! In the last place I lived, there was a set of really steep stairs with a short spiral at the bottom. The spiral bit was sided by a wall.
I slipped at the top, skidded down the stairs on my side (so my right thigh hit every step), then crashed into the wall at the bottom. I could hear my mum panicking in her bedroom - she was disabled and couldn't get downstairs - so I shouted I was okay, then hobbled off to the sofa where I managed to avoid fainting.
The bruise on my right thigh was amazing in size and colour.

Date: 2019-02-05 08:01 pm (UTC)I have fallen down stairs, quite a lot, due to stupid childhood shenanigans. Worst was probably when I was about four, when I landed on my back, and winded myself. I decided I wasn't going to do that again! Falling down stairs is very Not Good (although swinging from the banisters just about makes up for it).
