Though I couldn't attend the con, Rae had asked me to make up A5 sized booklets with inserts showing the agenda for the convention. I hadn't tried to do anything like that before, but gave it a go, and they turned out okay.

The inserts were a sheet of A4 paper, folded down the centre to make 2 'pages'.

So, under the cut are the covers I made from the jpegs Rae sent me. Which means quite a few rather nice pictures of Garett. :oD

Not bad, huh? I was pleased with how they turned out. Rae said some people even got theirs signed, so I guess they liked them too!

ETA: I didn't colour the pictures in any way. They came to me just like that, so all (all - ha! It took me hours) I had to do was work out a way to make the booklets, then actually make 50 of them in total.

Edited (again) to add: According to the knowledgeable [livejournal.com profile] andeincascade, it was [livejournal.com profile] alyburns and [livejournal.com profile] luna_61 who coloured the b/w photos so well. Thanks, Ande! :oD

I thought they turned out well, thanks. I don't know who did the pictures in part b/w, part colour, but they were beautifully done. And a lot of fun to look at. :oD

Oh very nice - you're very talented ::nods::

I love the pic with the multi-colour vest, but they're all beautifully done.

I didn't do the b/w or colouring of them - the pictures came to me like that. I just had to figure out the lay out etc. - and actually make the things. They turned out well in the end, anyway.

Thanks, Snails. :oD

Sorry *g* - I wasn't being very clear - I'd love to claim I'm multi-tasking here, but I was just distracted by a young fox snaffling the bird food!

I meant to say the layouts are great, but it came out the other way *g*... ooh, and the cute little lizard thingy!

Awww! How cute! Did you take any pictures??

I'm glad you like the layouts. I just wanted to be specific because I realised it could read like *I* did the pictures too, and I didn't. Just cropped and arranged them. They are nice pictures though. :oD

The lizard's adorable, isn't it? That came from Rae as she used it as a kind of logo and asked me to fit it in somewhere. Fortunately, everything just worked - I was so relieved!

I was too busy going "Bad foxy!" to take photos... the little horror is vain enough as it is *g*

Oh cool, Sarah! I've been wanting to see how these turned out. I think Aly and Luna did the photoshopping and they are some of the same photos that were on the quilt that was raffled.

Nice job.

Thanks, Ande. I thought they turned out well, and I was pleased to hear some people liked them enough to ask Garett to sign them.

Thanks for the heads up on who coloured the photos that way. I couldn't remember who it was, but they did a good job.
