GMOH convention booklets
Oct. 18th, 2008 04:51 pmThough I couldn't attend the con, Rae had asked me to make up A5 sized booklets with inserts showing the agenda for the convention. I hadn't tried to do anything like that before, but gave it a go, and they turned out okay.
The inserts were a sheet of A4 paper, folded down the centre to make 2 'pages'.
So, under the cut are the covers I made from the jpegs Rae sent me. Which means quite a few rather nice pictures of Garett. :oD
The front covers (6 variations):

The back of those booklets:

The 'attendees' booklet (only 1 cover for that):

The back of that booklet:

Not bad, huh? I was pleased with how they turned out. Rae said some people even got theirs signed, so I guess they liked them too!
ETA: I didn't colour the pictures in any way. They came to me just like that, so all (all - ha! It took me hours) I had to do was work out a way to make the booklets, then actually make 50 of them in total.
Edited (again) to add: According to the knowledgeable
andeincascade, it was
alyburns and
luna_61 who coloured the b/w photos so well. Thanks, Ande! :oD

Date: 2008-10-18 04:35 pm (UTC)Sorry *g* - I wasn't being very clear - I'd love to claim I'm multi-tasking here, but I was just distracted by a young fox snaffling the bird food!
I meant to say the layouts are great, but it came out the other way *g*... ooh, and the cute little lizard thingy!

I'm glad you like the layouts. I just wanted to be specific because I realised it could read like *I* did the pictures too, and I didn't. Just cropped and arranged them. They are nice pictures though. :oD
The lizard's adorable, isn't it? That came from Rae as she used it as a kind of logo and asked me to fit it in somewhere. Fortunately, everything just worked - I was so relieved!

Date: 2008-10-18 06:24 pm (UTC)Thanks for the heads up on who coloured the photos that way. I couldn't remember who it was, but they did a good job.
