17. What is your ethnic make-up and heritage? Is it important to you?
Well...

I don't exactly know. My DNA shows a good solid chunk of English and Welsh, and I know there's Scottish and Irish mixed in too. I have no idea who or what my father was though.

18. When you close your eyes what do you physically see?
Right now? An after-image of the computer screen.

16. What is on your favorite sandwich?

Savoury cheese! A variety of cheeses with mayo and tomato. Real bread is a necessity though.

The ocean.

13. Are you superstitious about Friday the 13th?
Yep! I fear calamities on these dates!

14. Do you use rely on one main password for most of your online activity, or do you try to come up with different ones as needed?
Different ones as needed.

As I've previously said, it was the Downton Abbey of its day, but far, far better. I posted about season 1 here.

I'm partway through season 2. This particular storyline is about Elizabeth's marriage.

At the end of season 1, Elizabeth (Nicola Pagett) is disappointed to find that her poet beau, Laurence Kirbridge (Ian Ogilvy) is acceptable to her horribly old-fashioned family. To the extent they're all in favour of wedding bells.

Elizabeth wasn't but gave in, possibly to her eternal regret.

11. What's your first name, if you're comfortable saying? Do you think the meanings of your name matches who you are?
We already covered my first name and its meaning a few days ago.

12. What's your birth order in your family? Do you think it affected who you are as an adult?
My birth order is a bit mixed. I grew up with my grandparents' kids, so I was sort of their youngest. Then my mum and I moved out into a flat, so I became an only child.

I think I'd call my birth order confused and, yes, it's had an affect on me.

10. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of fear?

At the moment, the Corona virus. There's so much information/conflicting information out there. Is it one virus or two? Is it really just to distract from Prince Andrew and his shenanigans? (Surely not!)

Should I worry more because I can't breathe properly? A friend of mine is in Rome (she's Italian) and the city is locked down. It sounds terrifying. (It also sounds like my day to day life, which is no comfort to anyone, so ignore that bit.)

Anyway, yeah, that's my current worry.

9. What's your favorite movie quote?

"Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while." The Princess Bride.

8. It's International Women's Day. Who is a woman you greatly admire and why do you admire her?

Irena Sendler.

I can't imagine the nerve it took to do what she did. She knew what she was risking, she was imprisoned, tortured, and scheduled for execution. She was rescued, and lived in Poland for the rest of her life. She died in 2008.

6. Who is your favorite celebrity chef? Why do you like them?
Pass. I think I know 3 famous chefs in total.

7. What is the worst medical procedure you've ever had?
The nerve reflex check. They literally stick long pins in you and send small volts of electric along the nerve to see how well the nerve reacts.

Rodney McKay isn't far wrong when he calls doctors voodoo practitioners.

I've just watched one of the most annoying episodes of Upstairs, Downstairs, a British TV series from the 1970s.

I wrote about the first season here. It has pictures too!

Basically, the series was the Downton Abbey of its day, and was about the Bellamy family, their servants, and their lives from 1903-1930.

This episode, The Key of the Door, centred around Elizabeth Bellamy, the only daughter of the family. Basically, Elizabeth is an absolute pain in the arse.

Wow, I'm rather behind! That's what comes of feeling so ill for over a week.

2. What's your favorite candy bar?
Hmmm. My favourite chocolate is Cadbury's but the actual bar? Maybe a Star Bar. I am becoming very partial to Hotel Chocolat's Eton Mess. It's light white chocolate with meringue and strawberry.

3. What city or other location were you born in?
Blackpool - a seaside resort in Lancashire. It's famous for its Tower.

4. What's the most ridiculous way you've ever been injured?
I was shot in the knee by an arrow.

5. It's Learn What Your Name Means Day. So, what does your name mean? Do you think it fits you?
Sarah means Princess and it doesn't fit me at all.

29. If you were given an extra day every year to do whatever you want, what would you do?

Ooh, go out somewhere and have fun! Visit the beach or pier and have icecream.

Talking of such things, it's not fit for anyone out there right now. The rain and wind are howling up against the windows. Brrrr!

28. If you learn that a celebrity of whom you are a fan of has done something horrible, does it affect your ability to enjoy works they previously produced?

Yep. I can still listen to their music or watch their films, but the knowledge is always there.

26. What's a belief that you hold that most people probably disagree with?
That there's some truth to Astrology birth charts as regards personality.

We are mostly water. In the womb, we're surrounded by water. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find the gravitational forces of the sun, moon, and other planets had an effect upon our mental development.

27. Winter is soup time. What's your favorite kind of soup?
Good old mushroom soup!
